Syngenta presents donation to IFED Representatives

Syngenta Corporation met with members of the Interfaith Federation of
Greater Baton Rouge (IFEDGBR) recently to donate $1000 to the organization for an expansion of its Healthy Living efforts in one of the food desert areas of Baton Rouge.

Syngenta has previously been involved with the Interfaith Federation in the (pre-Covid annual) Hunger Walk and provision of packets of vegetable seeds at the Federation’s Health Fairs. This program expansion will involve growing vegetables in containers termed “back step groceries” and planting fruit trees in homeowners’ yards and congregations’ properties.

Representing the Interfaith Federation of Greater Baton Rouge are (front left) Susan Hymel, St. Aloysius Catholic Church; Rev. Jon Parks, IFEDGBR Executive Director; and Syngenta representatives David Murch, Regional Occupational Health Manager, NA; Todd Bartow, St. Gabriel Site HSES Manager and Melinda Sanford St. Gabriel Occupational Health Nurse.
