40th Anniversary Annual CommUNITY Prayer Breakfast

Our 40th anniversary Annual CommUNITY Prayer Breakfast will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2026 at Boudreaux’s (2647 Government Street). Doors open at 6:30 am, and the program begins at 7 am. This year’s special breakfast will celebrate the progress made over forty years by our founders and past leaders with a look to the future and work that remains to be done. Our new Executive Director, Dr. Ma’at Latham, will also be formally introduced. Tickets are $30 each and are available by calling our office (267-5600) or on our website.

Moveable Pray-for-Peace Vigil

Join us on Sunday, September 13, 2026 from 2 pm-4 pm at various local congregations to pray for peace. Stay for a few minutes at one location and then move on to others or stay at one site for the duration. The choice is yours !

Our 40th Anniversary: A Week of Celebration

Join us for a week of events celebrating Interfaith Federation’s 40 years of cultivating peace, justice, and unity in the Baton Rouge area.

The Week's Events

Community Food Distribution Day

On Saturday, September 19th from 11 am-Noon, free boxes of food will be distributed at the Cadillac Street gym (6117 Cadillac St). Boxes will contain pantry staples and household items. We will need help packing and loading the boxes for distribution on that Saturday morning. Click on the “Volunteer” button if you are interested in helping out. Service hours are available for high school and college students.

This distribution project would not be possible without the help of our member churches and partners: GBR Food Bank, Catholic Charities, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and Hands2Heart.

Volunteer
