On Saturday, April 6, representatives of the Interfaith Federation joined with Muslim friends at the Islamic Center of Baton Rouge to learn more about the Islamic faith and the holiday of Ramadan.
We were warmly welcomed and enjoyed a interactive presentation about Islam. Time was allowed for questions, and we had lively discussion about different Muslim practices and the ways Islam intersects with other religions. Finally, we had an opportunity to observe evening prayer, then broke the Ramadan fast with a delicious meal and more discussion.
